Give an old pair of jeans a brand-new life in this inspiring and practical workshop. In just four hours, you’ll transform a pre-loved pair of denim jeans into a stylish, functional bag—perfect for everyday use, gifting, or proudly saying “I made this!” This class is designed for novice sewists who can use a sewing machine and are ready for a fun, creative challenge in a calm, supportive setting

  Preparing Your Denim

• Deconstructing denim safely and efficiently
• Choosing the ideal sections of fabric for strength and style
• How to stabilise the material for purpose

Bag Design & Layout

• Planning your bag shape and size
• Using pockets, seams, and existing jean details creatively
• Adding optional embellishments or contrast fabrics

Constructing Your Bag

• Sewing heavy fabrics with confidence
• Making strong straps/handles using denim or cotton webbing
• Adding closures: magnetic snaps, buttons, or ties
• Topstitching for a polished look
• Final tweaks that make your bag unique 

• One pair of old jeans (the thicker the better!)
• Any fabric scraps you’d like to incorporate (optional)
• Your basic sewing kit if you have one
   

All sewing machines, overlockers, and specialist equipment are provided.
